I finally got fed up and switched hosts. My old web host wins the award for worst technical support ever. Their server obviously has a lot of issues, and security was a major one of them. But the kill point was when they double charged me for my domain, and after 5 days of trying to fix this issue, they told me they don't even do their own billing and that I was charged for someone else's account! Well, I got their billing contractor to refund me and ditched the hell out of there for good.
On the bright side, I now have a new host that actually knows what the fuck they are doing and are rated very high for their prices. So, if you want an affordable web host without the bullshit check out HostGator.

Well, as if the outage last month wasn't enough, recently I've been having problems re-registering my domain name. I had paid them the full amount over a week ago, but they cut it off with an "expired" notice 2 days ago. I have been battling with them ever since to fix the problem, being assured my domain was renewed and would be ready "within 6-8 hours". Finally got it back online today! Now I'm missing all my mail since the 23rd... So if anybody's been trying to contact me, I apologize, and you can now safely send me mail.

So... About the recent downtimes, apparently I discovered just the other day that my bandwidth has been exceeded for what I had paid for. I never figured a website as small as mine would ever pass the 20GB bandwidth/month limit, but it seems it has... So I look at my web stats, and they did not look good. Over the past few months, I notice my hits reducing slowly but my bandwidth increasing exponentially!!! Very bad news for any website. Apparently, it seems some evil giant mp3 portal has launched an attack against my site, stealing my bandwidth, and spreading it to MySpace users. So, the net effect is: I am no longer hosting any mp3's on this site, or any other, ever again! All my mp3 web usage has already switched to FileDen long ago, so I don't need it here anyway.
